For riders who want a versatile machine that is as happy on dirt roads as on pavement, but don’t want an intimidating machine, the XR150L might just be the ideal entry-level motorcycle. Whether it’s exploring around the campground or simply getting around town, Honda’s smallest dual sport can do it.

The simple 149cc air-cooled single has enough power to propel it to highway speeds, and a tractable and manageable delivery for off-highway riding. With a large 2.8-gallon fuel tank and excellent fuel economy, Honda claims 346 miles of range.

Plenty of suspension travel front and rear (7.1 inches and 5.9 inches, respectively), plus a 19-inch front wheel/tire combo and 17-inch rear provide competent traction and handling. A low 32.8-inch seat height is accessible for a large range of riders.
